In early April, the TYE team had the privilege of hosting a physics workshop for elementary school students at the Chantilly Regional Library. Showcasing their profound knowledge of physics, our enthusiastic volunteers delivered engaging lessons on the fundamentals of kinematics. Through their expertise and guidance, students eagerly dived into the subject, successfully applying their newfound knowledge to construct various different catapults.
Throughout the process of assembling these catapults, participants gained a deeper understanding of how gravity and force influences velocity. By instilling a passion for physics and encouraging scientific exploration, we hope to inspire these young minds to continue their educational journey in STEM.
We express our gratitude to the Chantilly Regional Library for allowing us to help students explore the thrilling adventures in the physics world, and we hope to continue our work with educational institutions, in order to expand our reach across the county.
